A four-year involvement with O2 culminated in January with Handheld PCs joining a select group of 15 companies in the networks new Data Centre of Excellence.
It joined the likes of Affiniti, Alternative Networks, Azzurri and Timico in the exclusive club, which has high-profile technology partners in the shape of Nokia and BlackBerry maker Research in Motion.
Admitting it cant sweep the B2B market alone is a welcome admission from a network, and testament to the reputation Handheld has built since arriving on the scene five years ago.
The company provides organisations with wireless communications, including wireless email and other business data on mobile devices such as pocket PCs, smartphones and tablet PCs. It also delivers independent advice on route maps, software applications, hardware selection and airtime connections.
Unusually, the Maidenhead-based company has three joint-managing directors, each responsible for his own division.
Pierre Lams is in charge of strategic partners and marketing, Darren Hilton looks after sales and Nick Taylor deals with operations and marketing.
