HTC reveals four new smartphones


The group has announced that it will release the HTC Shift, HTC S730, HTC P6500 and the HTC Touch Dual in November.

The HTC Shift is a mobile computer that offers offer Microsoft Windows Vista, push email and 7 inch touch sensitive ‘slide-n-tilt’ screen. The Shift also features HTC’s new SnapVUE™ technology, which enables users to instant access SMS messages, contacts, calendar and email services without having to boot up the device.

HTC’s S730 is an enhanced version of the S710 handset and includes a 400MHz processor, auto-sliding QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile 6, 256MB Flash memory and 3G connectivity.

The HTC P6500 is designed for the enterprise market and contains a 3.5 inch screen, three megapixel camera with auto focus

and barcode and fingerprint scanning functions, 3G connectivity, GPS and 256MB internal memory.

HTC also announced a new version of the popular Touch handset, which has sold over 800,000 units in the UK since its launch in July. The Touch Dual incorporates a sliding keypad and a touch screen and features HSDPA connectivity.
