Retail expansion at Data Select

Managing director George McPherson said the distributor’s retail sector had doubled over the past nine months. It has accounts with Tesco, Asda, Argos, Sainsburys and Woolworths and is in discussions to take on smaller non-specialists.

McPherson said Data Select’s presence in the non-specialist market was key in consolidating the renewed contract with Samsung this month: “Our supply through non-traditional routes has been very successful. It’s a route that Samsung didn’t have sufficient penetration of.”
