T-Mobile’s new ‘My Faves’ tariff will not replace Flext, the network said today.
T-Mobile said My Faves, which from November 1 will allow users to make unlimited calls, texts and picture messages to five central contacts, was the first UK plan to offer unlimited calls to other networks.
It will initially available direct only and will be released to the indirect channel after Christmas.
The 18 month tariffs on offer are £25 a month, with an additional 25 minutes and 50 texts to all networks, £35 for 100 minutes and 200 texts and £45 for 200 minutes and 400 texts.
My Faves will be available on the Samsung U600 and D900i, the Nokia 6300 and Sony Ericsson K770 and W880. More handsets will be available after Christmas.
The tariff is the first in the UK to come with its own user interface, which displays the five inner circle contacts as icons or photographs on the screen. The ‘favourite’ contacts can be swapped once a month and the interface can also be hidden.
T-Mobile head of post-pay Vanessa Potts said: “My Faves will totally shake up the market. It’s a new breed of price plan that lets you keep a constant connection to your inner circle of close friends and family.
“It’s causing as much excitement as Web’n’Walk.”
