The new company will be called Motorola China Finance Limited (MCFL) and has a total registered capital of around £6.5 million. MCFL will provide financial services to Motorola’s subsidiary companies, affiliates and joint ventures.
MCFL will be based in Tianjin, where Motorola already houses one of its largest manufacturing facilities, Motorola will use the opening to promote its business services and to highlight continued presence in Tianjin.
Motorola chief financial officer Tom Meredith said: “MCFL will provide more diversified and flexible financial services to support Motorola’s business growth in China’s highly competitive market.
