Two jailed for big Nokia theft

The men were arrested after a van containing the handsets was hijacked and robbed at gunpoint by masked offenders in Cove, Hampshire, on November 1, 2005. 

Following an investigation by the National Mobile Phone Crime Unit (NMPCU), Narinder Sandhu, 38, from Southall, and Mohammad Arfan, 21, from Slough, were charged with money laundering offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act in regards to criminal property.

Sandhu was sentenced to 22 months imprisonment. Arfan was sentenced to a two-year community order and fined £1,000.
