LG Mobile UK head of marketing Jeremy Newing said: “We want to significantly ramp up our range this year and adapt a strong portfolio approach. In 2007 we only released half a dozen devices, but you’ll see LG attempt to make a real impact now.
“Compared to this time last year, the brand is much stronger and the relationships we’ve built up with networks over the past 12 months have been very healthy.”
Newing said some will be upgrades to and variants of its Viewty and Black Label products, starting with a “dark silver” Viewty (see box) next month. He said up to three more Viewty colour variants could be released in the second half of 2008.
