Samsung’s proposal give away

February 29 has been dubbed the day that many will propose to their loved ones and Samsung, who has been running the competition since February 21, offered the prizes to the first 20 women to propose via the paper with the winner being given £1,500 to spend on the bridesmaid dresses.

The phone is exclusive to Carphone Warehouse and is part of a £2 million marketing campaign which includes a link-up with 20th Century Fox to promote the new movie ‘27 Dresses’.

Customers who purchase the handset will receive a limited edition gift and a £100 voucher to spend in ladies clothing store Coast.

Head of marketing for Samsung Anne-Sophie Frenove said: “We saw a unique opportunity to create a tailored campaign that can reach our core audience across a variety of media.”
