Commercial Wireless has Nokia repair centres in Dublin (two), Cork and Limerick. The firm’s chief executive Derek McDonald said: “This addition to the repair side of the group will greatly add to the capabilities of the company.
“Commercial Wireless has accreditation for the repair of other makes of mobile, which is needed now as Sony Ericsson increases its market share year on year and other brands promising to increase their share.”
A Novo will be re-branded ‘Fonemenders’, offering fast repairs, exchanges and replacement of all makes of phones.
It will also look to establish a smartphone and BlackBerry repair service, as these devices are sent to the UK for repair and exchanged in Ireland for working models. Fonemenders aims to get RIM and other PDA accreditations for handset repairs.
