O2 has appointed Ramon Ros as UK chief financial officer, completing its total board restructure that began at the beginning of the year.
Ros joins from O2 Czech Republic, where he was also chief financial officer. He replaces Ronan Dunne, who took over from Matthew Key as O2 UK chief executive in February.
Ros has been with O2 parent company Telefónica since 1997, working in Telefónica International and Terra, the group’s internet business, before moving to the Czech Republic in 2005. Prior to Telefónica, Ros worked at Banesto, one of the largest financial institutions in Spain.
Dunne said: “Once again, we have been able to recruit from within for a senior role. Ramon’s experience will be invaluable, bringing further strength in depth to the O2 UK board.”
