O2 has stepped into the increasingly crowded mobile boadband market with the launch of its USB broadband dongle for O2 customers.
O2’s Mobile Broadband ‘plug and play’ USB dongle allows O2 customers to access the internet on a laptop for £20 per month, either via O2’s network or via 7,500 free Wi-Fi hotspots, operated by The Cloud.
The O2 service includes 3GB worth of data usage per month, with speeds of up to 1.8 megabits per second, on either an 18-month contract, with free USB modem, or a rolling monthly deal, which hikes the modem to £119.99 as a one-off purchase.
O2 UK marketing director Sally Cowdry said: "The customer experience right is crucial. Our broadband services complete a great communication experience for our customers however they want to connect to the internet, whether that be at home, on their mobile phone or laptop.”
The offer is available from O2 direct only.
