Handset recycling scheme Mobile Phone Xchange (MPX) has struck a deal with retailer Littlewoods to offer customers money for old handsets.
The service is offered through Littlewoods’ home shopping website, which sells prepay handsets. Customers can receive up to £150 for an old phone. They are quoted an individual value for each mobile they wish to recycle, given a free postage-paid bag, and receive their money by cheque within seven days.
MPX managing director Geoff Walters (pictured) said: “There is a strong demand for used mobiles in the developing world. This scheme makes mobile services more affordable to many more and is a very positive step forward.”
