Gamma MVNO to launch broadband

Business MVNO Gamma will launch a mobile broadband offer next month.

The MVNO, which launched via 3 in February in conjunction with fixed-line reseller Gamma Telecom, initially offered just voice and text tariffs, either SIM-only or with handsets.

Gamma will allow its B2B dealers to create bespoke broadband bundles themselves.

Gamma marketing director Richard Bligh said the tailored deals would better meet customers’ “real world usage”.

“We will offer choice to dealers around data bundles, hardware and out-of-bundle pricing to enable them to get the product right for their market segment, rather than copying what’s already out there in the business market,” he said.

“We’re deliberately taking the view we will sit down with our channel partners to create specific bundles based on who they sell to and at what volume.”

Data prices will be less than 5p per megabyte. Broadband access is available to customers either by using a broadband dongle or by using Bluetooth to enable the handset as a modem.

The MVNO is expecting to reach 5,000 connections next month.
