Comment Retail Services has won an exclusive distribution deal for Hello Kitty-branded mobile phones, music players and various other electronic goods in the UK and Ireland.

The Hello Kitty-branded handsets are to be manufactured by a major brand in the second half of the year, and network and high street retail deals will follow.

Comment sales director Caroline Preston said: “Comment’s experience in the market, along
with its ability to work with different operators, manufacturers and retailers, has secured this opportunity. We are now looking forward to seeing Hello Kitty in stores.”

Roberto Lanzo, president of consumer products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for
Hello Kitty parent company Sanrio, said: “We wanted to partner with a company that is focussed on delivering the best customer experience.

“Comment’s experience in the mobile market and its commitment to delivering first rate
service and solutions make it the ideal partner.”

Established in 2005 by managing director Michael Richardson, Comment supplies and manages more than one million handsets each year via customers including WHSmith,
Woolworths, Littlewoods and Sainsbury’s.
