Cashback win for customer

The Communication and Internet Services Authority (CISAS) has again ruled in favour of a Dialamobile customer.
The customer entered two Orange contracts on June 27 last year through Dialamobile, who ceased trading on August 21, leaving the cashback unpaid.
She wanted to cancel her contract in September and claimed she was never informed of the contract’s minimum term, so requested Orange cancel charges of £1,140, and debt collectors, and to clear her credit record.
Orange said it was not responsible for the deal and was entitled to payment in full as terms and conditions were contained in the handset boxes.
CISAS ruled the claimant was not informed of the details and instructed Orange to cancel charges and, if required, to call off debt collectors.
