JAG Communications aims to have at least 14 new area business managers (ABMs) in place by the end of the year as part of a business restructure.
The target is to have an ABM per retail area, with the B2B department targeting branch managers due to their experience with small business.
In May, the retailer said it was creating a team to handle B2B clients and work closer with retail branches.
The team of six ABMs took up their posts last week following a week-long specialised training programme devised with O2.
JAG managing director John George (pictured) said: "The ABMs will bridge the gap between JAG retail and JAG business. They will be based in-store, sharing profits and commissions with the retail branches.
"This will ensure all our customers receive the best possible service from the most appropriately trained and qualified individual we can provide."
JAG also expects to open a branch in Looe, Cornwall by August 15, taking its store count to 148.
Cornwall area manager Alex Stone said: "I suspect our branch in Looe will do very well indeed. We have a lot of confidence in the employee market in Cornwall and since our base of operations is in Perranporth, new branches opening close to our HQ have an added logistical advantage.”
