Vodafone has launched a new digital music download service.

The new mobile internet music shop, ‘Vodafone Music’, sells music singles and albums for 99p and £7.99, respectively. Customers download over-the-air and get to keep their track downloads.

It also allows a track sampler service so customers can listen to 30-second snippets of songs prior to committing to a purchase.

Customers who purchase new handsets can get access to all their download library via Vodafone’s ‘Live’ portal.

The new mobile internet music shop sits "beside" Omnifone’s MusicStation subscription service, sold on Vodafone. MusicStation allows unlimited downloads for £1.99 a week but customers are unable to keep tracks at the end of their subscription.
