Nokia has received five applications for its re-tendered B2B distribution contract.
The contract was initially part of a wider distribution review in which Data Select, 20:20 and Dextra were appointed for three key categories. The manufacturer then re-tendered the B2B category saying that applications did not sufficiently meet criteria.
Nokia confirmed it had received applications from Brightstar, Brightpoint, I2, Fone Logistics and IT distributor Ingram Micro.
A decision is expected to be announed in September.
Nokia UK managing director Simon Ainslie (pictured) previously said the company was looking for a business "specialist" with "specific skills".
