Vodafone’s head of business stabbed to death


Vodafone head of business analysis Sally Sinclair has been found stabbed to death at her rented home in Hampshire.

Sinclair, a married mother-of-two, was found at 10pm on Saturday night at the house near the village of Amport and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 47-year-old local man was arrested and taken into custody and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Alan Smith a spokesman for Hampshire Police said: "The post mortem has revealed that the woman, 40-year-old Sally Sinclair, died of injuries to the upper body.

"Detectives investigating the death continue to question a 47-year-old man who has been assisting with inquiries. They are also following a number of other lines of inquiry, which includes interviewing potential witnesses."

Sinclair lived in the house with her husband Alisdair Sinclair and their 10-year-old twin sons.

Vodafone confirmed Sinclair worked from its Newbury headquarters from 1994. Vodafone UK human resources director Matthew Brearley said: "Sally will be deeply missed by her colleagues here at Vodafone. Our sympathy goes out to Sally’s family and friends."
