Ethnic market provider Lycamobile has finally launched its UK MVNO offering on Orange.
Its prepay SIM cards were available in shops Friday (September 5).
Neither Lycamobile nor Orange were available to comment on their working relationship.
But the prepay SIM number ranges Lycamobile is using were originally allotted the Orange network in the UK.
Its launch rates include free on-network talktime for call of up to 39 minutes, after which calls are charged at 9p per minute. On-network text messages are charged at 9p each, calls to UK landlines at 8p per minute, calls to other mobile network providers at 10p per minute.
International calls start at 4p per minute to fixed lines in certain markets, including Brazil, China, Poland, Romania and Turkey. Calls to foreign mobiles are marginally higher.
Lycamobile has targeted 750,000 Uk customers in 12 months.
20:20 is providing distribution capabilities to the proposition.
