Exradia is developing a protective case for the iPhone with its ‘Wi-Guard’ technology built in.
Exradia claims Wi-Guard can deflect potentially harmful electromagnetic fields emitted by mobile phones. It brought its Angel batteries, fitted with the technology, to market early this year through distributor Brightstar and retailer Fonehouse.
Exradia chief executive Richard Turner said: “We’re working with an accessory manufacturer in the Far East on a new polycarbonate case. We expect to start with the iPhone and then see the development of other cases for smartphones, such as those from RIM and HP.”
The product is scheduled to launch within the next six months and Exradia is looking to roll it out across Europe, South Africa, and the US.
