According to an Ofcom report, ethnic minorities in the UK are leading digital device take up.

The Media Literacy Audit claimed up-take among ethnic minorities was higher, although they had less confidence in contributing to digital content and were more concerned about offensive material.

In the study, 62 to 65 per cent of ethnic groups lived in a house with multiple devices that could access the internet compared with 53 per cent of the UK population.

The study conceded that differences in age could result in the differences observed and not all groups followed the pattern.
