Orange has announced two new appointments to its UK board. The moves follow the launch of the company’s new growth and evolution strategy in June.
Jackie O’Leary (pictured), currently director of customer service at The Carphone Warehouse, will join Orange next month as vice president of service. She will now be in charge of Orange mobile and broadband customer service strategy and teams.
Orange UK chief executive Tom Alexander said: “With over 20 years of experience in the mobile, broadband and other industries, Jackie is key to us hitting our ambition of becoming the UK’s best-loved communications brand. She is a massive asset to the team.”
O’Leary’s appointment follows the news that outgoing vice president of service Mike Hughes (also pictured) has taken up a new role as vice president of transformation. The role will ensure that, having reorganised the business, Orange can deliver quickly and efficiently on the potential of the new organisation.
Said Alexander: “In a world that appears to be changing ever-more quickly, we need to be more agile, we need to respond quicker and we need to be better set up for the challenges that lie ahead. We also need help in accelerating some of those projects that are vital to the transformation of the business.
“Mike is taking on this role as someone who knows Orange inside out, and he will be key to driving through a number of core projects across a variety of areas including some major efficiency initiatives.”
