EasyAir’s £13 million damages claim against The Carphone Warehouse’s fixed-line division Opal Telecom will resume after it succeeded in raising £70,000 security. Mobile News understands a European legal specialist has put up the funding.
EasyAir offered services to GSM Gateway operators via a service contract with O2. It sold its customer base to Opal in 2004, but claims Opal breached contract after O2 axed its GSM Gateway agreement.
Carphone said: “We are waiting to see the guarantee from EasyAir. We will continue to defend this case vigorously.”
