Nokia UK has appointed Brightpoint as its primary B2B distributor and awarded it ‘Approved Partner Status’ as a result of a distribution strategy review.
Brightpoint will be responsible for the distribution of Nokia devices, services, accessories and software across the UK.
It was up against Brightstar, I2, Fone Logistics and IT distributor Ingram Micro as part of the tendering process.
Nokia UK head of business mobility Adrian Williams said: “We are very pleased to appoint Brightpoint as our selected business-to-business distributor. During the tender process, Brightpoint demonstrated the highest level of understanding and commitment required to help support us in driving both traditional and non-traditional channels.”
The appointment of Brightpoint further supports Nokia’s renewed business mobility strategy. It now plans to work more closely with names such as Cisco, Microsoft and IBM, enabling it to address broader markets and for existing business customers to leverage their existing infrastructure.
Williams added: “UK businesses are seeking to embrace mobility as an integral part of their operations and the number of organisations providing employees with a mobile device continues to rise. Nokia’s objective is to open up the full potential of the business market, bringing businesses and business users the best user experience for their devices and solutions”.
