LG’s KC780, the company’s second 8-megapixel cameraphone, will be aimed at the mass market.
The mid-range device includes a Schneider-Kreuznach lens and face detection to improve picture quality, as well as Smart Bluetooth which allows the handset to be used as a webcam.
“Following the launch of the Renoir, we’re delighted to add the KC780 to our portfolio,” said head of LG mobile marketing Jeremy Newing.
“Packed full of the latest technology, such as motion sensor gaming, it’s a truly high-end feature phone available at a mid-range price.”
No pricing information has been announced, but the handset is expected in stores at the end of October.
LG also announced the Prada 2. The sequel to the Prada includes a slide out QWERTY keyboard and is said to be “almost identical” in design to the original.
The 3G device boasts Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity (up to 7.2Mbps) and a 5MP camera.
