Orange will launch a premium film and television service in France across TV and PC on November 13. It will also make content available on mobile phones in January.
Orange has exclusive content deals in place with Warner Brothers, MGM, HBO, Gaumont, Wild Side Films, BAC Films and Fidélité Films.
It will offer around 75 French exclusives per month, alongside a wide-ranging portfolio of movies, TV series, documentaries and children’s programmes.
Five channels of content, under the Orange Cinema Series brand, will also be available across TV and PC on subscription for €12 per month (£9.50) and on mobile from January for an extra €6.
The channels will be designated with Hollywood blockbusters (in HD), family viewing, action movies, independent films and ‘classics’ respectively, and be supplemented by interactive content and Orange’s own weekly film review programme.
Content will be available on demand for a month after it is first made available.
Meanwhile, Orange has launched a new brand campaign in France through TV, press and web advertising.
The Orange France campaign includes testimonials and is centred on the ‘Plus loin ensemble’ (‘together we can do more’) campaign created by the Publicis Group.
