Orange is to get a two-month exclusive on the HTC Touch HD handset, through to early 2009. It is also to range the Sony Ericsson C905 in silver and W910i in pink this month, in time for the Christmas market.
It will also have exclusive pink variants of the low-cost LG KS360 and Sagem my421z, as well as the new LG KF300.
Orange said it will range a number of other pink handset exclusives over the Christmas period. “Pink is always huge at Christmas,” said Orange retail director Sian Doyle. “It’s amazing because it keeps going.”
The Touch HD comes with a 3.8 inch, high resolution, widescreen WVGA touchscreen and a 5 megapixel auto focus camera, as well as HTC’s TouchFLO 3D user interface. It will be available from £79.99 on 18-month contracts of £40 per month.
Orange is also offering prepay customers buying handsets of £49.99 or more a free Christmas gift box with £25 worth of freebies through the Christmas period. The Christmas gift box includes multimedia gifts, including 30 MMS, five international minutes, one ringtone, wallpaper and game, a Christmas phone ‘stocking’, a magnetic photo frame, lip balm, a watch and phone charms.
Meanwhile, Doyle said Orange was taking new stock of Asus and HP laptops this week, after demand outran supply in stores and online through October.
