P4U appoints new marketing head

Phones 4U has announced the appointment of its new director of marketing as Russell Braterman.

Russell Braterman started his role in the retail chain on November 10 and will be reporting to commercial director George Wright. Phones 4U said Braterman does not replace Jim Slater, whose role as marketing director was distinct.

Braterman joins from Unilever where he started his brand management career working on personal care brands. Prior to Unilever he was at several agencies including Brand Union in Germany as European consulting director.

Phones 4U commercial director George Wright said: “We’re delighted to have Russell on board.  We’re confident that with his experience, he can help take Phones 4U to a new place in the mobile industry and build a fresher, stronger brand in what is already an extremely competitive market.”
