Vodafone is selling 2,000 embedded SIM netbooks a week.
It launched the Lenovo notebook on August 4 and the Dell Inspiron Mini last month and said sales are continuing to pick up.
Vodafone chief executive Vittorio Colao said the network has also sold half a million data cards in the UK to date and reported a 48.6 per cent growth in UK data revenue, to £1.4 billion.
On mobile data and broadband, Colao said: “People are getting more accustomed to devices that have mobile broadband. We must drive this opportunity by focusing on the devices.”
