T-Mobile is offering free ad-funded games to its customers.
The network claims it is the first to provide the service to customers who sign up to T-Mobile’s Game Club and Web’n’walk. Customers can get one free game each week.
Digital ad-funded entertainment company Digistores is hosting and managing the content with new games being made available each week.
The service detects the users’ handsets and only offers compatible games.
Customers are asked to watch two full-length advertisements before starting the game and two after with no extra charge.
T-Mobile UK head of new proposition development Damien Byrne said: “The launch of ad-funded games further strengthens T-Mobile’s mobile gaming offering to consumers. We continue to make mobile gaming easier than ever before and a more enjoyable experience for our customers.”
Digistores managing director Steve Gordon said: “Our technology allows advertising to targeted to specific segments which makes it a successful proposition for advertisers and content partners alike.”
