3 is recruiting for a new head of business sales, Mobile News understands.
While known more for its consumer strength, the network made inroads into B2B last year by launching 3 Business and hosting dealer roadshows. It also signed a business-themed MVNO agreement with telecoms company Gamma and has improved its smartphone range for business users, prompting the network to create the new role.
The company has also conducted a realignment of key areas of its sales and marketing teams under the remit of sales and marketing director Marc Allera.
Director of indirect sales Bernie O’Beirne left the network last month. O’Beirne’s role is to be absorbed by new director of sales Amanda Lambert, former head of online at O2.
Existing executive roles have been reworked. Previous head of multiple retail Alistair Wilson has now been appointed head of consumer and Ashley Roots will head up e-commerce. Stuart Joce will look after telesales, including third party telesales.
They will all report to acting director of sales David Bickett until Lambert officially begins.
