Southwest-based independent retailer Intek has said that it will continue to invest online and not expand its store portfolio after reporting record mobile sales.
Managing director Manny Hussain (pictured) said the growth was down to “commitment and focus” but said he won’t be attempting to expand on the high street due to the current uncertainty in retail.
“Every business month seems to be breaking the previous month’s record, which is very pleasing,” said Hussain. “Whilst some retailers are suffering, we’re doing extremely well.
“However, I have no plans to open any new stores as we have to keep in mind that retail is very unpredictable at the moment. Instead we’ll be looking to invest heavily in our online sales to continue this progress.”
Intek’s online store, tagged as ‘The site other dealers don’t want you to see’, offers a range of Orange and T-Mobile deals. The company has around 30 stores in the south and west of England.
