Service provider and reseller BNS Telecom Group announced a 24 per cent growth in business, and a 15 per cent rise in customers in its end of year figures.
The Northumberland-based company, which has been operating for 10 years and employs 250 people, sells fixed line, mobile, broadband, call recording and VoIP. It claims its VoIP traffic is 1.5 million calls per month.
In its results for the year to July 31, 2008, group revenues rose from £26.2 million to £32.48 million in 2008. Customer numbers increased by 15 per cent, with more than 50 per cent of those signed up on 5-7 year contracts.
BNS chief executive Garry Moat said: “Our shift to IP telephony has seen us turn a very important corner. We have the largest order book in the company’s history and have made an excellent start to our current financial year. Our portfolio put us in a strong position in this economic climate.”
