Avenir has announced an exclusive partnership with accessory developer Beewi, which will bring a range of mobile and iPhone products to market.

The Borehamwood-based company will become the sole UK distributor of Beewi from next month, a new French business which launched at Mobile World Congress yesterday.

Products to be launched include the Bluetooth Pocket Handsfree Car Kit, which the company claims to be the slimmest and lightest handsfree speaker in the world and the Dual Air Bluetooth Streamer, which transmits music from an iPhone or iPod simultaneously to two separate pairs of wireless headphones.

Avenir managing director Andy Tow said: “We’re looking forward to distributing these products to three, equally vital, channels in the UK mobile marketplace: network operators (3, O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone), multiple retailers and grocers (such as Tesco and Argos) and our traditional base of B2B mobile dealers, mobile resellers, and comms dealers.”

Beewi founder Thierry Dechatre said: “Users are looking for high performance ‘plug and play’ solutions that simplify their day-to- day activities regardless of the technology used. This is why, starting in March 2009, we will offer unique, innovative and affordable products to the general public that are specifically designed to promote wireless living at the office and on the road.”
