Voda and O2 clear delayed subs


Vodafone and O2 have cleared their backlog of new connections and upgrades thanks to a slow down in business caused by the snow.

Mobile News reported in last issue that O2 and Vodafone were taking up to six days to process orders compared to their standard SLA of 48 hours.

O2 claimed that B2B sales were up by 30 percent compared to the same period last year, which caused the delays, with Vodafone also claiming an increase in business as reason.

However, dealers connecting through Fone Logistics and Avenir claim the delays have now gone, and have been told by the networks and distributors as a result of fewer numbers being placed during the snowy period they have been able to bring all administration up to date.

As a result orders are now being processed within the 48 hour SLA and in some cases less than 24. One dealer said: “It seems the weather has done everyone a favour in the end. It seems most of the country stopped, and enabled the networks to catch up. Deals are going through faster than I can remember now which is great news.”

Another said: “Most companies would have placed less business through as a result of the weather, it even happens when it rains sometimes. Everything is back to normal now though.”
