Fonehouse is in the process of opening five new franchise stores dedicated to Vodafone.
The new sites will bear the Fonehouse signage, but be branded entirely with Vodafone point of sale material and window displays.
The new stores will be in Holborn, Tottenham Court Road and Greenwich, in London, and Gosport, Hampshire, and Cardiff, Wales.
Three of Fonehouse’s franchise stores were recently dropped as their performance levels weren’t meeting the required standard.
The new additions will take the company’s store count to 22. The retailer said up to three more T-Mobile branded franchisees are in place, to be added to the store portfolio in the coming weeks.
Fonehouse managing director Clive Bayley (pictured) said: “The franchise programme is going really well and the addition of Vodafone has helped push things along. Having a presence in southern England and Wales will also help us gain a bigger national presence.”
Fonehouse finalised a deal with Vodafone in December to connect Vodafone consumers.
Meanwhile, Fonehouse has pulled back from 3 connections with the demise of distributor Advantage, which it had proposed putting 3 connections through.
