Avenir is offering a free O2 prepay USB modem worth £29.35 to all of its dealers.
The modem will have some data access pre-loaded so that Avenir dealers can plug it into a customer’s laptop to demonstrate its use and benefits. The dealer will need to top up the device as necessary.
Avenir managing director Andy Tow (pictured) said: “Mobile broadband represents an enormous opportunity to UK businesses, especially on the prepay model. Our free trial will allow our clients to properly demonstrate this service and deploy risk-free test units to their customer base.
“Avenir is committed to both decreasing customer churn in the mobile industry, and forging greater links between telecoms and IT sales. This initiative covers both these bases and, in these recessionary times, we are giving dealers a risk-free way of making mobile broadband sales, pitching to customers who want to try before they buy and to those who need to scope out the technology before committing to a contract.”
O2 business sales director Ben Dowd added: “Mobile broadband provides business with an ideal opportunity to mobilise workforces. During an economic downturn companies who seize opportunities to change the way they work can come out fighting at the end. This offer by Avenir, our top performing Distribution Partner for 2008, provides companies with a no-cost opportunity to try our award- winning mobile broadband service and see what efficiencies a service like this can drive.”
