O2’s first App Centre partners

Three corporate applicatioan developers have joined O2’s nascent Application Centre of Excellence, following launch of the scheme last year.

Asavie, Neverfail and Telmap are the first to join the scheme, having achieved set revenue and sales targets.

They will work with a specialist O2 team, which will support development of bespoke business applications for O2 customers, specifically Asavie’s secure mobile access solution AccessMyLan, Neverfail’s business continuity solutions, and Telmap’s satellite navigation solution Telmap Navigator.

The inaugural trio will receive dedicated sales, marketing and technical support.

O2’s Application Centre of Excellence operates within its Accelerator programme, reserved for its best application partners. ‘Preferred’ partners can be escalated to ‘Certified members after demonstrating success and commitment.

It joins similar Centres of Excellence for Enterprise, Data, M2M.

Telmap chief Oren Nissim said: “There is clearly high consumer demand for mobile mapping and navigation services, demonstrated by the volume of mobile phones with an embedded GPS. We are proud to be working with O2 and believe, together, we can showcase our Navigator product to take advantage of this growing market.”
