Olive closes on 15k data card deal

B2B dealer Olive Communications expects to complete a deal worth 15,000 3 data cards in the coming weeks. Final negotiations are ongoing, it said.

Meanwhile, Olive Communications managing director Mark Geraghty (pictured) has confirmed the proposed takeover of airport and train station music retail store Impulse has now been withdrawn.

Olive said last year it had lined up a deal worth around £2 million to purchase the chain and to sell mobile products as well as CDs, DVDs and computer games in 13 stores across the UK.

The move was put on hold following the termination of its T-Mobile airtime contract in June 2008, with Olive instead devoting its attention on increasing its customer base, and following a distribution agreement with 3 has ended its interest.

Olive is pursuing more than £1.2 million from T-Mobile in owed commissions and compensation after settlement talks broke down last week.
