Orange has signed up eight new charity partners in the UK to its ‘Orange Community’ investment programme.
The programme supports two charities in each region of the country on a local-level.
The new charities it now supports are the Alzheimer’s Society, Barnardo’s, Crisis, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Groundwork, Leonard Cheshire, NSPCC and Samaritans.
Orange staff will be involved in fundraising projects and volunteering schemes. Staff will also be given annual, paid, flexible days off to volunteer with the charities.
Orange UK community investment manager Sue Hammett said: “We are delighted that so many of our employees have got behind ‘Orange Community’, our charity scheme which supports our key corporate responsibility themes of ‘Include, Protect and Environment’.
“Our employees already have an impressive track record of supporting Orange’s charity partners having raised £470,000 over the last two and a half years. We are looking forward to continuing this success with our new charity partners over the coming months.”
