Palm EMEA marketing director Simon Lloyd has left the company after just six months in the role.
Lloyd (pictured) joined Palm last October following a stint with directory enquiries company 118 118. Prior to that he joined Nokia in 2001 and spent six years at the manufacturer, becoming head of marketing in 2004.
He said he left the smartphone manufacturer on amicable terms after the company revealed its plans to restructure its marketing teams.
“Palm is a great company. I enjoyed my short stay. It has a fantastic opportunity to push on with its new Palm Pre handset and I wish it all the best.”
Lloyd hinted that he would be returning to the mobile industry soon but declined to say in what capacity.
A Palm spokesman said: “All we can say is that Simon Lloyd no longer works for Palm.”
