LG has announced the launch of the GT505 and GW520, social networking devices that boast messaging features designed for effortless contact with friends and family.
The GT505 (pictured right) comes with a 3-inch touchscreen, HSDPA speeds of 3.6Mbps, Wi-Fi and 5-megapixel camera. It comes pre-loaded with a 30-day free trial of WisePilot for LG, a turn-by-turn navigation solution that offers voice instruction and a choice of 2D and 3D mapping.
The GW520 (pictured left) comes with a 2.8-inch touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keypad, HSDPA speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and 3-megapixel camera.
Both devices are the first to offer push social networking updates, allowing consumers to receive alerts from multiple social network sites as they are posted. Both models also support push email for personal accounts and come with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for business accounts.
LG Mobile UK head of marketing Jeremy Newing said: “We recognise the demand for mobile devices that enable quick and easy interaction with social networking sites as a growing market. LG aspires to be at the forefront of this with the launch of these great mobile phones.”
The GT505 will be exclusive to Orange from next month, with the GW520 available across most networks from the same period.
