Orange has become the first network to offer the BlackBerry Curve 8900 handset to its range of prepay handsets.
The handset, which costs £249.99, is the second prepay BlackBerry device to have launched on Orange after it begun selling the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 in February this year.
Orange is also offering new customers six months of free internet and email from the handset, provided they purchase the device before June 31.
Existing customers, and those wishing to continue the email service after this period, can do so for £5 per month on a non contractual subscription.
Features on the handset include a full QWERTY keyboard, in built GPS, Wi-Fi, 3.2 megapixel camera including video and expandable memory up to 16GB.
Orange director of prepay Pippa Dunn said: “We were the first to launch the BlackBerry Pearl on pay as you go in the UK and we’re delighted to extend our range to include the BlackBerry Curve 8900.
“With free email and web browsing for six months and at a great price, we’re offering customers even better value.”
