Irish mobile and accessories distributor BPI Telecom has signed an agreement with electrical retailer Click.ie to distribute 3 mobile broadband.
Click.ie’s stores and online portal will also sell accessories from BPI Telecom subsidiary, CTC. These include Gear4 iPod accessories, Belkin networking products such as routers and modems, as well as Gola bags for laptops, MP3s and mobiles.
To mark the new agreement, BPI and Click.ie are donating 30 laptops to 25 schools which have collected up to 2,000 mobile phones for recycling in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation.
BPI managing director Fergus Sweeney (pictured) said: “Click.ie is one of the most progressive and rapidly expanding home media and mobile retailers in Ireland, combining the best features of online and face-to-face support.”
Click.ie chief executive Maurice Muldoon added: “The BPI connection will boost our offering to customers in store and online. They have a great track record in terms of their service delivery.”
3 Ireland sales director Elaine Carey welcomed the deal, saying: “3 is delighted that BPI has selected Click.ie to distribute our mobile broadband to the Irish market. Through our commitment to the National Broadband Scheme, 3 will be delivering 100 per cent coverage and connecting those who have yet to be connected to broadband services.”
