Fonehouse is looking to close four of its lowest performing stores and open them up as franchises.

It has identified stores that are performing under par, and will make them franchises as it ramps up its partner portfolio beyond 30.

Fonehouse boss Clive Bayley (pictured) said: “It would make sense to turn the closed stores into franchise locations because our programme is doing so well. We also have eight applications waiting to be signed off so we’re still well on course to have 50 stores by the end of the year.”
