It promises 100 new features and is available on prepay, consumer and business contracts in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB variants. The prepay price at £342.50, £440.40 and £538.30 respectively and on 18 and 24-month contracts on pay monthly between £29.38 and £73.41 per month. Its USB modem E169 is on offer on a 24-month contract with unlimited Wi-Fi. The price has been reduced from £14.69 to £9.79 for the first four months of the contract.
3 has claimed to do the impossible by offering a SIM-only tariff, for free. The ‘SIM Zero’ rolling contract provides unlimited free Skype-to-Skype calls and Windows Live Messenger. Minutes are prices at 20p per minute and 10p per text.
It also has a bunch of “hot deals”. The LG KF310, Sony Ericsson G502 Black and “Hazelnut” and K660i have a fiver knocked off the monthly rental. For £10 per month customers get unlimited texts and 75 minutes.
Along with the new iPhone, Carphone has a range of “summer savings” for bargain hunters this season. On prepay, the Sony Ericsson W980i has been slashed from £259.95 to £109.95 and the Sony Ericsson W580i is down to £49.95 from £69.95. The Samsung NC10 netbook on a T-Mobile mobile broadband deal has been reduced at £5 a month to £25 per month on a 24-month contract with 3GB downloads.
Fonehouse has a range of laptop/mobile broadband deals on 3 which come with a Samsung laptop, 15GB of downloads, 24-month laptop warranty, 24-month antivirus protection and Office software. The Samsung R60 laptop is available for £34.25 per month, R510 for £39.15 per month and NC10 for £30 per month. Customers can also choose between a free Toshiba L300 laptop or a Nintendo Wii on T-Mobile with the LG Cookie on Combi 30 on an 18-month contract.
If you’re square-eyed and a Samsung fan, The Link has an offer to suit. The Samsung S7330 Light Edge and a 23 inch Samsung HD TV are available free on 3. For £35 per month, customers will get 750 minutes and unlimited texts thrown in on the 18-month contract. Dell’s Inspiron Mini 10 netbooks in a range of colours are free on Vodafone, 3 and T-Mobile mobile broadband deals. On Vodafone, the offer starts from £25 per month on a 24-month contract with 3BG of downloads. 3 comes with 15GB of data and 150 text messages for £30 while T-Mobile’s deal includes unlimited data for £30.
Tesco has stepped into the pay monthly arena. It’s offering SIM-only deals of which one includes unlimited calls and texts for £30 (subject to fair usage policy). On other SIM-only deals ranging from £10 to £25 customers can select five “favourite” numbers which provides half price calls and texts at 10p and 5p respectively.
Pre-orders are available for the Nokia N97 White (pictured). It has 32GB internal memory, a QWERTY keyboard, accelerometer and Wi-Fi. This latest Nokia ‘buzz-phone’ is available on Orange and Vodafone free from a £40 24-month contract. The HTC Magic has dropped to £25 per month. The handset is free on the 24-month contract which comes with 100 minutes and 500 texts with unlimited internet. On prepay, bargain hunters can pick up a phone for a fiver. The Motorola W156 is available for £4.85 on Virgin.
Argos “recommends” the Nokia 2610 on T-Mobile and the Vodafone 725 prepay handsets. The 2610 is priced at £19.59 with £5 credit included while the Vodafone 725 is £29.19 down from £39.19.
