Former O2 executive Helen Litvak as been appointed head of marketing for Samsung Mobile.
Litvak will be responsible for overseeing marketing, content and training departments within the mobile division. She will focus on the company’s new aim of putting the consumer at the centre of its campaigns.
Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland vice president Mark Mitchinson said: “With over 20 years experience within a number of innovative industries, including telecommunications, Helen is the perfect fit for this key strategic role. It’s a very challenging but exciting time for Samsung Mobile and we’re delighted to have Helen on board to help drive the right creative propositions and consumer insights for the remainder of 2009 and beyond.”
Prior to joining Samsung, Litvak was head of postpay acquisition at O2. She was responsible for delivery of consumer budgets, finalising launch propositions and developing the customer experience for O2 customers. She also worked to build customer loyalty as well as trading and retention communications.
Before joining O2, Litvak held a number of marketing positions, including general manager for customer marketing at Virgin Holidays, UK country manager and marketing director at Zed UK and roles at Telewest and the RAC.
