Genesis rebrands as ‘Outsourcery’

Genesis Communications has rebranded as ‘Outsourcery’ as it repositions itself as a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider.

Genesis is to buy more specialist SaaS providers, it said, in a bid to strengthen as Microsoft partner. It said Microsoft has previously stated its intention to grow its customer base via its nationwide partners and the re-brand is designed to support the delivery of Microsoft’s SaaS model in this way.

As Outsourcery, it will develop the broader UK SaaS market and its unified communications portfolio through an aggressive acquisition strategy. This year, it has brought services provider Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Increase CRM and the business and assets of Thus Mobile.

Piers Linney, director, said: “Genesis has been focused on providing the leading suite of mobile and hosted IT solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK for some time. Thanks to our new hosted packages, we can’t be beaten on price and our product range is second to none.

“The re-brand is about representing this through our brand and showing we’re serious about our goal of offering one of the world’s leading unified comms product sets. Acquisition of customer bases will be an important part of achieving that goal and we’re particularly keen to add professional services capabilities in SharePoint and hosted voice to our portfolio.
