TalkTalk’s B2B division Opal has said the company’s £236 million take over of Tiscali UK will open up new opportunities for its 350 wholesale partners.
The acquisition will allow Opal to offer Tiscali’s existing IP-enabled virtual private network proposition. This will allow Opal to provide a strong multi-site and home-worker offering.
Tiscali’s existing partners will also benefit and gain access to Opal’s account management support infrastructure, tariffs and incentives.
The move also introduces Opal to new relationships with data focused partners, which will continue to be developed.
Opal will leverage Tiscali’s heritage as an internet provider to accelerate the company’s product development roadmap; building on its existing premium broadband product to offer customers prioritised business-grade broadband as standard.
Opal managing director Paul Lawton said: “Tiscali’s technical heritage and product set aligns well with our development plans, and its partners will provide Opal with access to a new set of data focused resellers – critical to our future growth.”
